hello -

so i have about 10 different projects all going on at the same time...i'm working on some butterflies for 'cache'ing (don't know about it? sorry, can't tell)...different pay it forward projects, doilies, hairbands, kitchen set, yoyo lapghan, more doilies, cebadera for ruben...and i'm going soon to pick up my hubbie from panama :) of that i'm excited. i started working out cuz i wanna loose weight so my hubbie and i can work on having babies :) we want to expand our family :) i can't wait!! mami is good, she's in pr for now, 'visiting'...we'll see how long that lasts. on june 11, alex and i are going to attend the soccer game of panama vs usa :) that is going to be lots of fun!! woo hoo!! go panama!! :) then we're off to rochester, ny for a few days then to nyc for a few more days...alex wants to see the sights (liberty, ground zero, brooklyn bridge and such) ;) definately gonna take him to central and battery parks. good memories there. i hope he enjoys it.

well that's the update for now. hopefully i'll learn to keep this up to date more often...but not likely according to my record so far! ;) hahaha!

a hat, a puff and a scarf

hello -
so i've completed a hat and a bath puff since the new year started. and i'm working on the CAL scarf that i never completed :)

the hat is the basketweave stocking cap from drew emborsky's booklet "leisure arts #75271 in all caps". i made it out of caron spa :) love that yarn, very yummy :)

and the bath puff dani turned me on to....so i made one to see if i could, and i can :)

and the scarf is stitch stud's cal that was given before the holidays, but i just never finished it. i actually had to rip it out cuz i know my tension has changed and i didn't like the look of the first couple of motifs since i was still learning the pattern. so now i'm almost done with the first track. the scarf has 2 tracks and a center part that joins them together. hopefully i'll be done before the cold goes away :)

trying a resolution

hello -

well i have been on hiatus for a while...i just didn't feel it, i didn't want to crochet...my life has just been up and down, happy and sad all at the same time. my dad died in july, i went to puerto rico and panama, both to where i hadn't been in over 10 years. i fell in love, got married in november. moved back in with my mom to help her out and not leave her alone....

but the other day, the crochet bug bit dani, and i think she passed on the infection to me...i remembered what fun it was to crochet. i made a hat and a bath puff :) i'm so proud, and i made them both within 3 days :) woo hoo! my next post, hopefully soon will have the pattern links and pics. i even updated my ravelry page about the finished products, just no pics.

onto the reason for this post, my trying of a resolution. of course i say trying of a resolution, cuz come on, we all know, resolutions are usually made to be broken, hardly anyone ever completes a resolution....but here's mine....to crochet for charity (yes i stole it from dani,but she's right, we just need to), use up all of my/my mom's stash yarn (cuz we just don't have the room), and crochet stuff that i can enjoy, and finally crochet myself a garment!! i know it seems like a lot, but i want to try to accomplish all this within this year. i know, 16 days down, and i've only crocheted 2 things, but they were both from the stash, so far i'm good :)

peacock track mystery scarf CAL

hi -

i'm very excited to be joining/starting my very first CAL. it is being given by the stitchstud :) [i met him at chainlink, so nice and he's mentioned in the talking crochet with carol alexander :)] it's called peacock track mystery CAL. here is some more info on ravelry on it :) i can't wait to start. i'm very curious about this CAL. what attracted me to it was the fact that stitchstud is going to give us the instructions in audio format first then chart and text instructions once we've completed the section. this CAL is going to be just too interesting to not try it!! if you want to join me and about 100 other people on this quest, click here to sign up on google groups by sept 13th :)

once he says we can talk about it, i'll post more :)

and as for chainlink pics, i still have to upload them on flickr/photobucket and link them to here...i'm just still moving stuff out of my 'new' room at my mom's (see previous post) and moving my stuff in....slowly....ugh, i hate moving!!

what's been going on....

hello --

oh alright already....it's been way too long since i last posted, but life had just not let me have a moment to breathe. here's a little explaination... :)

for all of you that don't know, i lost my dad in july and i've been traveling like a mad woman since. we buried him in puerto rico cuz that was his final wish, to be wherever my mom was going to be. we stayed there long enough for the 'novena' (catholic custom of 9 nights of rosaries then a mass).

then off to the knit & crochet show in buffalo for me and tracie. mind you, i got in from puerto rico on a sunday, and left for conference on tuesday. had a blast there, learned new things, and met lots of very important people. i possibly will have a job with mary beth temple!! woo hoo!! i love connections that are made at conferences :) most people know me as tracie's tagalong :) LOL!! but that's ok, i'm good :) i was just happy to be away from everything.

we left sunday, and on the following tuesday i left for panama (the country where my dad is from, i say country cuz most people think i mean the city in florida). and here i am, my last nite in panama, and i don't want to go home, but i do a the same time.

i don't cuz i'm moving back in with my mother. she just can't be alone, she hates being alone, and i'm the only child :) she spoiled me, now i can spoil her. and i don't want to go back to work!! 3 months of not working and i think i could be a housewife with no problems :) LOL! with all the changes going on in my personal life and the changes apparently happening at my job, i'm considering leaving my job and going for another....but in this economy i almost don't want to risk it, what if what i have in mind doesn't pan out for me....but someone else gets hired?!? then what?

oh my, lots of changing and cleaning to be going on in the next couple of weeks.

i will definately post lots of pics from conference and what i made from my hairpin lace class :) i'm so proud of myself for finishing! and i've found a new love, hairpin lace!! it's so beautious of a stitch, and complicated looking, but it's not!!

ok, enough for now. i'm gonna pack some things this week and talk you all in a few days :)

i am all registered and paid for!!
i bought the crochet 2009 hook.
i'm taking the beginning hairpin lace class and with it i'll have the homework done for the beginning hairpin lace join class in the afternoon!! :o)
i'm also taking the pushmi pullyu class, cuz i think it'll help with the filet crochet i like to do....i hate turning work! :o)
tracie and i are going to go to the dinner, fashion show and silent auction! woo hoo!
and we will be shopping all in between! :o)
i'm so excited! i can't wait for august!

gift exchange at cgoa

so there is gonna be a gift exchange at the cgoa conference.... and i want to exchange something.... if you look at my previous posts, you'll see the bmc that i made.... i decided that i'm going to make another one. i know i said i'd never make on again, but i'm already on round 40 of 60 and i love the color combo. ocean blues and white. tracie says that i won't give that one away, but instead give the one that i made months ago.... we'll see about that... i love blues... so maybe she is right.... lol!
let's see if i can get through these last 20 rounds, cuz the further i get the longer it takes to do one round. :o)
i'll update pics as soon as i take some :o)

cgoa conference, knit and crochet show, happy easter

i'm going! woo hoo! i finally picked out the classes i'm taking. flight is paid for, hotel reservations made, all i have left is to actually register! :o) for those of you that don't know, it's in buffalo new york. i've got family there and in rochester (45 minutes away) so i just might call my cousin so we can have lunch or dinner :o) i really need to sit down and get this blog up to date! i've made lots of mini doilies and i have to update ravelry too....maybe later this week.

oh by the way, happy easter! i've had a lovely day with my parents. we went to mass at 11am then came back to the house, had a light lunch. i started washing clothes. we watched 'west side story'. then we had lasagna for dinner and i'm stuffed!

hello -
so i know it's been many months since i last posted...but it's been busy for me....
i still have been crocheting, but i just haven't posted about it all....
i am working on the '99 little doilies' by patricia kristoferson. my goal is to have all of them made by this year's cgoa conference. i want to cover 2 pairs of jeans with the little doilies! i can't wait....
i will be posting more often so that i can show off what i've done so far, but give me a couple of days to get it all organized. i moved recently and i can't find all of the ones i've done so far....lol...i know they are somewhere in all of my boxes...

hi - so i'm a little bit tired today....work was just a little too much...i'm off to my mom's to wash clothes (cuz i'm cheap, lol) and have meatballs and spaghetti....

i'm on the very last round of the between the meals centerpiece!! i'm so excited i might actually finish this one soon!! woo hoo!! maybe i'll finish it tonight and i'll be able to post tomorrow that i finished!

tomorrow my best friend, jodi is coming over to learn how to cro-knit (tunisian) a teddy bear for her son (wolfie), he's 2 :o) we'll se how it goes. she knows basic crochet stitches, i just have to teach her the actual things about tunisian (thanks tracie for the know-how)...i might end up making it with her :o)

dish soap dress

wow, i so can't say that fast!! tracie knows, she heard me trying to say it last night and i kept stumbling over my words!!!! hahaha!!

ok on to the project! i decided about 2 weeks ago to buy a couple of grab bags from elmorepisgah.com to just see what it was about....i wanted to get a good amount of the same type of colors so i ordered 10 grab bags.......wow!!! that was a lot! i got 10 gigantic balls of white thread, 10 normal balls of camel colored thread, 10 skeins of sugar n cream khaki colored and at least 10 skeins of white cotton yarn and more than 10 skeins of different colors of cotton yarn!!

so i thought to myself the other day, "i want to make something with the cotton i got!" so i was looking through a couple of mags that i have gotten in the past month, and i came across the dish soap dress in crochet world june 2008 issue.

i thought, ok, this is a different type of project for me and i've always wanted to make one, so here we go..... well, it was quite simple to make, basic stiches and a v-stitch. it was the first time that i made something with hair bands!! 1 hairband for the neck and 1 for the waist :o) i think it turned out quite nice :o)

yarn tasting

hello -

this past wedsnesday, i went to a yarn tasting with tracie and john at a yarn outlet. what's a yarn tasting you ask? let me explain....it's like a wine tasting, but with yarn. hahahaha!

prism yarn hosted this yarn tasting. prism sent debbie (owner of lys) lots of different yarns for us to play with, and purchase :o) there were about 20 people or so, all sitting, eating, knitting and crocheting with these lovely types of yarn. we were all able to crochet with all the different kinds of yarn that prism sent!

manhattan was my favorite. then i tried trieste, i liked that one too. i liked the way it felt running through my fingers...it was soft, very soft. there were a few yarns that the moment i touched, i knew i didn't like, so i passed those on. i found out that ribbon yarn is not so nice to crochet with....the stitches get lost in the folds of the ribbon yarn, but that's ok.

i will definately be returning for the next tasting!! i did have lots of fun.

i was able to meet and talk to vashti. she's great! she showed us a bunch of jewelry she's working on and stuff like that. i also talked to her about different threads and beads and such.

i didn't buy any prism yarn, cuz i want to make sure i have the right project before i go spending more money.....but, i did buy some more wool for fulling/felting. my friend jen loved my bag and wants one....and she's willing to pay!! woo hoo! so i bought the colors she picked out and 2 new colors for me to make a spring bag. i think the blue/grey bag is more for winter time....i want a brighter purse for the spring/summer.

remembering new york

no crochet in this post....just a quick memory of when i lived in the big apple....

i lived in manhattan, new york, back in '99, '00, right before the whole 9-11 thing....i had a couple of friends from puerto rico always coming to visit and hang out/go to concerts and stuff. well, one of their trips up, i decided to take the day off cuz i was going to actually do the "tourist" thing. lucy, wilmy, and me **and their friend that came that time which i don't remember her name** went on the red tour buses all through new york. we took the upper route first then the lower route....we had a blast.... we went to the empire state building and then we went to the statue of liberty via ferry. i remember the fun we did had!and the laughing and the shopping!! and the henna tattoos in battery park....

so i just wanted to share with you the pic. i hope you liked it.....

felted purse done!!

hello -

i finally finished crocheting my purse this past saturday and i went to dani's on monday to felt it....i have never felted any project, so dani was my teacher for the day!! a big thank you to dani for taking pics of the felting process. (my mom stole my camera for her puerto rico trip, thanks mom!!)

it always seems when i go over to dani's, there is always something going on. i love it!! dani had a PTA thing to do, so we took a car trip to a friends house to pick up some candy bars. dani had to make a wrap for the bars with school stuff on it. we cut, wrapped, and taped the bars together!! then after that we went to take the bars back to her friends house!

in the meantime, *during all the cuting and wrapping* dinner was made. poor ava *one of dani's dogs* got sick and poor puppy threw up her dinner....and besides all that we picked up jesse from school and then from soccer. ate dinner. but we felted and put together our bags.....wow what a day!!

dani found out, after the felting washes, that one of the yarns she used was not wool and that part of the bag didn't felt. i'm sorry that happened to you dani!! but i think it still looks good!

so on with the pics....i'll show you the before and after pics....

i know...it's been a while and a bunch of stuff has happened....but this post is about my socks that i finally completed....my first pair!! with the help of dani and tracie, i did it!! i actually made a "wearable". the pattern calls for a higher cuff, but i don't like my socks that high...i like them sporty, so i made them that way...and tracie showed me how to do a cuff and it looks great in my opinion, thanks tracie!!

i'm already on my way to making another pair. but, i'm gonna stop for now, since i want to make a felted purse...

anyways, here are the pics of the finished product....

so last week tracie, dani and i went to fiber arts. we absolutely loved it! it has a whole bunch of different rooms, with different kinds of yarn....and lots of places to sit and do your business whether it be crochet or that other stuff with pointy sticks...while there we all decided to make a pair of socks together as a crochet-a-long. thanks tracie for the idea!! :o) here's a pic of my sock so far and the yarn i'm using.

i also bought some wool, *not pictured yet* so i can learn to felt. i'm gonna make a purse. dani has already made the purse, but just to help me out, she's gonna make another one :o) thanks dani!

1st post of the year!! and guess what i learned..

hahaha!! this is my first post of the year!! so much for my new year's resolution of posting more...didn't i already say that i was gonna post more often?? well, i guess i fibbed :o) LOL...

i do have lots of excuses, but i'm not gonna list them....i'm just gonna post.

my mom has decided for some unknown reason to knit a blanket...and yes i said knit....and that's all she was going to do until she decided last night that she wanted to put some sort of ribbing on the blanket. and of course, who does she come to for a question on a craft that i don't know anything about?? me. she asked me how to make a ribbing in knit....how the heck should i know that?? ok, so good daughter that i am, i went to the computer and went to freepatterns.com and looked up the stitching and such...ok k2, p2 that's a basic pattern for ribbing....fine, but my mom doesn't remember how to purl. so i have to go online again and look up knit and purl to see the difference and teach my mom. if i haven't already said it, i don't knit, i'm not co-ordinated enough....my mom learned that of me when i was younger and i took to crochet instead of knitting.

needless to say, i now know how to cast-on properly (my mom was using a hook to cast onto the needle), to knit and purl and to make a ribbing. and i taught my mom. i thought she retained the info, but here's what happened to me today...

*example of what my mom does to me all the time after teaching her something new*
i'm at work, and it's busy....phones ringing, people dropping off prescriptions, i have to call an insurance company on a problem....

i pick up the ringing phone, 'how can i help you?'
in spanish...
mom: 'mamita, i can't remember how to purl...can you tell me?'
me: 'mami, i'm busy can i call you a little later?'
mom: 'but is it front to back or back to front?'
me: 'back to front mami, i'll call you back.'
mom: 'how is it to yarn over for purl?'
me: 'counter clockwise mami, i'll call you back.'
mom: 'ok, bye'

less than 10 minutes later....it's just as busy as before, just one insurance problem less...

me answering the 10th call in a row: 'how can i help you?'
mom: ' the ribbing isn't working. what am i doing wrong?'
me: 'mami, i'm not there watching you, i don't know what you're doing wrong. can i call you on my lunch break? i'll have time to explain then....'
me: 'fine, talk to you soon. bye.'

2 phone rings later...

me: 'how can i help you?'
mami: ' i forgot to tell you i need a refill....'

aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!! it always happens....she always needs me when i'm busy....but now that i got home, and i have actual time to talk to her about it, she figured it out on her own "since i couldn't help her". oh brother....

ok, enough babbling....i'm done.

i have finally visited the joann etc. in citrus park....wow......i'm definately taking my mom there!!

ooohhh, i forgot to check if they have the scooters for her to shop in....oh well, i can push her on her super walker with a seat....:o)

sorry, i got off topic.....LOL - back to joann's....

i had lots of fun there with richard, walking through all aisles with different yarns and threads and stuff. i'm going back very soon. so, i found this green "rainbow boucle" (thanks tracie :o))and an idea popped in my head... i'm going to make an afghan for richard, he loves green, and he approved of the rainbow-ness of it. well, it's now dec 20th and there is no way in god's green earth that i'm gonna finish it by christmas. so richard is just gonna have to deal with a late present LOL :o) here's a pic of what i bought....

now i just have to find the right pattern for it. i was thinking of that star blanket that i keep seeing pop up everywhere on the internet, cuz i want to be able to see the nice pattern it will give in the greens......hhhmmmmm........

if anyone has any ideas, please let me know :o)

and i'll leave you with this lovely pic of bebe, my kitty. she decided she needed to sit in the empty tote that we use to hold christmas ornaments.....just to make mommy smile :o)

my yarn items!!

yes i did actually say that....my yarn items...

i was given a couple of baby skeins of "lily sugar and cream" and "caron cotton tails" by my friend teri b. she asked me if i could make a couple of open mesh dishcloths....so i did. and here are 2 of 4 that i made. (the other 2 were given to teri's friend and i didn't get a pic, sorry)

and, i also made for ken, richard's mother's boyfriend :o), a couple of bath items. he's a manly man, and doesn't think crochet is manly. (i know, i know...maybe he'll learn with this gift...) i set out to prove him wrong and here's a pic....i made (from left to right) a soap on a rope, a back scrubber, and a washcloth. i hope he likes it!

hi -

it's really been that long since i've been on here? jeez...well, i do have good reasons....and here they are....

this is the csp2 "prized rose" from my troll-free group, it took me forever to finish, and i'm still not done...i want to put a white border around as an edging to fix the ugly increases and decreases of filet. it's made with size 10 cotton thread "royale blue", #7 hook...and on to the next one....

and here is the mini doily 8 from i'm not sure which group, made with size 10 cotton thread royale in mint green and peach, #7 hook....and on to the next one....

this one is mini doily 10 from my troll-free group, made with scraps of size 10 cotton thread royale colors peach, mint green, maize, pink, and delft blue, #7 hook - i like it a lot, if only i had more of those scraps, i'd make a set :o)

and on to the next one.....yes another....

and this one is called rainbow sherbert made with size 10 cotton thread royale colors, maize, pink, mint green, and peach, size 7 hook...

another one - - -

and this one is the september small foriegn doily from the troll-free group. made with size 10 cotton thread, aunt lydia's colors - ecru and pastels, #7 hook :o) i like this one too, i'm proud of my color combo choice ;o)

and this one is not blocked and gave me a very hard time of ruffling while working on it!! and i just finished it so that i could move on....i'll have to just take some time soon and block it to get it over with!! LOL ... it is the september large foriegn doily for the troll-free group made with aunt lydia's ecru size 10 cotton thread, #7 hook....

i made it with royale's delft blue ( i love this color ) #7 hook.... made for both doilyofthemonth group and pearlscrochet group on yahoo....

i've been horrible lately to this blog...i haven't forgotten about it, and i have lots of excuses :o)

2-it was richard's birthday this week and we've been busy

3-i went to a halloween party for tricia (friend from work), it was her 7yrs old, camryn's party :o) we had lots of fun

4-i've been working a lot (as usual)

5-i've been crocheting :o)

so anyways....to update on richard's crocheting, he has now moved on from chaining to single crochets :o) he's working them in the chain right now then he will learn how to turn the project and work in the the actual stitch to move on the the double crochet :o)

the blue rose filet that i've been working on is finally done, BUT, i don't like how my increases look on the filet, so i'm thinking i might just put a white border of sc or crab stitch all around so it gets a good border, and the squares look like squares :o)

ok that's it for now.....i'm at my mom's right now, so i'm not able to put up pics until later.....

i'll be back....i swear :o)

i'm lazy and richard is learning crochet

hi everyone -

i've been lazy these past couple of weeks and tracie can attest for me how i've been lately with my crochet work.....at the last tbc meeting i just couldn't decide on what to work on....i pulled about 3 different projects in my bag to work on and when i finally started on one, something came up.....*drum roll please* richard decided that he wanted to finally learn to crochet!!! i was so excited. i was going to teach him how to do a granny square, but since he's a lefty, i sat in front of him and i decided to just go step by step: show him how to get comfy with the yarn and hook, and how to chain. here's the pic that tracie took at the meeting...

so then the next day, i went online and found a couple of sites that show lefty videos and he continued with his chain :o)

he's done a great job. i went ahead and made him a newer, even, shorter chain so that he can learn sc and turning....then we will move on to dc :o) i'm so proud of him :o)

ok that's it for now, i'm off to my mother's house to help her with some stuff.

i promise i'll come back and update you on my progress in crocheting :o) fo's and stuff :o)

hello - i finished my mini doily #7 "small pineapple doily" and coaster #3 for my cwt yahoo group :o) i had been working on the mini doily all week and yesterday at work i finished it, and started the coaster. i went to borders last night, got an orange mango smoothie (very yummy), sat down and crocheted.....i finished the coaster and started on another doily....i guess i'm trying to catch up. the past 2 weeks, i feel like i haven't been crocheting as much. i wonder how much time i'll have for crocheting once i'm on ravelry.com?!?! i can't wait.....as of right now, there are 11678 people ahead of me in line :o) my friends are patiently waiting for me to get on :o)

ok, i have to go to work now.....more crochet time for me LOL :o)

new stuff i bought!!

ok... remember that i'm a threadie...

so i went to michael's with my mom to buy some yarn (she's making about 6 baby boy afghans) she got about 10 skeins of different blues....she's nuts....hahahahaha but what i bought was about 1 of every color of royale #10 thread!!! i was low on everything i had and was combining colors in doilies and stuff. the past couple of doilies were in white or ecru. i had lots extra from my mom's ecru tablecloth, so i was using that up. my mom thought i was nuts :o) but i couldn't help it.....i got light yellow and looked at the darker yellow and thought "i need that shade too" then i saw the cornflower blue color and thought "i need a darker blue too" so i got that....so on and so forth. i spent well over $30 LOL

and last night i went to the party lite party that was hosted by tracie and i, of course, bought lots of goodies :o) i loved smelling all of the candles, but the acai butter stuff was fantastic!! so i got some of that :o)

i found ebay this seller in paraguay that sells balls of 100 different colors of "rubi" thread for about $40. i got excited!! even with the $20 shipping, it's still a good deal, right???

wrong! the balls are 1/4 the height of a coke can and the width of the ball is about the size of 1 and 1/2 quarters!! i thought it would be a deal, but it's not really.....each ball has 40yds, so 4000 yds of many different colors will make me a couple of really radical doilies, but i hate sewing in ends, so i passed it up. i was a little bummed, but i'll deal.... :o)

just wanted to share that with you.....

hello again :o) i've finished my mini doily #8 for my cwt (crochet with thread) yahoo group. it was a very fast work up!! and easy :o) i really like this peach color. this pic came out a little blurry, i might just have to take it again in natural light, the stitches and colors always look better in natural light.

ok i'm off to get ready for tracie's party lite party :o)

hello - i know i've been quiet, but i've been crocheting in the background :o) i'm done with my ksp 2 "doily medley" for my troll-free group :o) now i can move on to ksp 3. i didn't block this one because i still don't have a doily stretcher, but i'm working on that :o) i do like the last round on this one cuz of the picot....did i say that i liked the picot!!!???!!! what's wrong with me?? but i do, the picot looks like a club from playing cards :o) it's cute and very simple to make too.....ch 5 , sl st in 4th ch from hook, (ch 3, sl st) twice in same ch, ch1 and keep going.....it was a nice border :o)

ok on to download the pic of my next fo :o)

the groups i belong to

ok i decided to just give you just a little bit of info about the groups that i belong to....

the group i can't mention will now be called the troll-free group which in it are the following:
lsp's are charts, ksp's are written, csp's are filet, and cal's are either chart or written. the group also has monthly projects and such....patricia kristofersen and elizabeth hiddleson projects too, those are fun and complicated...

cwt is crochet with thread - lovely group, and they host doilies, coasters, barbie outfits *new*, bookmarks, baby stuff, and misc things also

cg is crochet gatherings - this is a group that brings yarn and thread together - there are projects for yarn and for thread. i like this group :o) it also gives us all a chance to try something new, if need be :o)

and of course there is my local group, tampabaycrochet :o) this is my favorite cuz all the ladies and gentleman are wonderful :o) we have lots of fun crocheting and drinking coffee :o)

the other groups i belong to are just to get links, info and pod

ok that's enough, i swear no more tonite.....maybe tomorrow :o)

hello -

i finished lsp 2 - round doily. i didn't complete it like i should have, i skipped a few rows. i didn't like rounds 25 through 29, so i skipped them and just ended with the last row the way the chart said to end it :o) and as you can see, it did lay flat after a good soak in water, stretch and iron!!

i really need to get a doily stretcher or a corkboard to be able to lay my doilies and stretch them....they come out nicer that way.....maybe that can go on my christmas list :o)

i've started my ksp from the same group (i can't mention the name of the group due to issues from other groups and trolls....LOL) and i like it so far, not to difficult, but the instructions said to use a #1 hook and it's so fat of a hook, it feels weird in my hand....i do miss my #7 :o)

here is a project that i'm working on right now. i got the pattern from a yahoo group that i'm on, it's a charted doily and it's cupping.....that's very irritating. the girl hosting the pattern said it was going to cup, and it's ruffling too...grrrrr.....i hope it'll lay flat after a good ironing :o) this is at the end of round 19 and it has about 30 rounds....so i'm off to finish it today.

i have a huge list of wim's!! i need to get cracking!!

this is my first post on my new blog. i hope this gets set up ok, so that i can work it easily :o)

for right now, i'm not going to put up old pics of what i've done in the past. i'm going to concentrate on wip's, fo's and ufo's (if any come up).
